terms of service

these terms are an agreement between you and mochi inc. by downloading, signing up for, or using the app, you accept them. if you don't agree, that's okay — but you won't be able to use mochi.

• you must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where local law requires) to use mochi.
• you must be able to form a binding contract where you live.
• you agree to follow these terms and any laws that apply to you.

you're responsible for what happens on your account. keep your sign-in safe, and let us know right away if you think someone else got in. one person per account — your mochi is you.

you own your mochis

everything you roll — your clips, your comments — belongs to you. we don't claim ownership of your memories.

the license you give us

to actually deliver a clip to your gang and your day-log, you give mochi a limited license to store, process, and display that content only for the purpose of running the service for you and the gang you posted to. this license ends when you delete the content or your account (subject to short backup cycles).

mochi is built for small, trusted groups. to keep it that way, don't use it to:

• harass, bully, threaten, or harm anyone;
• share content that's illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative — especially anything involving minors;
• post someone's private moments without their consent;
• spam, scam, or impersonate others;
• break, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app or its systems.

because gangs are private, you're each other's moderators — but we'll act on reports of serious abuse and may remove content or accounts that break these rules.

mochi lets you roll a short clip about once an hour; clips land in your gang's room and your personal day-log. we work hard to deliver every clip, but we can't promise the service will always be available, instant, or error-free — phones, networks, and software being what they are.

mochi is free to use today, with everything you need to run a gang. paid upgrades (mochi+ and gang+) are coming soon and will unlock extras like unlimited gangs and a forever archive.

• when paid plans launch, prices and billing terms will be shown clearly before you ever pay.
• subscriptions will be billed through your app store and can be cancelled any time.
• we'll never auto-charge you for something you didn't choose.

you can leave any gang or delete your account at any time from settings. we may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where required by law. if we do, we'll tell you why where we can.

mochi is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law. we don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of bugs — though we genuinely try.

to the extent permitted by law, mochi inc. and its team won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

we may update these terms as mochi grows. if we make a material change, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app. continuing to use mochi after that means you accept the new terms.

these terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where mochi inc. is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. questions? email hello@mochilog.app.
